The CBI 6400CT is a high‑horsepower horizontal grinder built for serious production, effortlessly tackling whole trees, storm debris, demolition waste, and more. Its fast‑change rotor system and advanced protection features keep uptime high and performance unmatched.

• Engine:
  1,050 HP (787 kW) Caterpillar C27 or optional 1,200 HP (894kW) Caterpillar C32
• Infeed:
  60" wide by 15' long infeed with outwardly winged side walls to funnel material, reduce spillage, and allow more feeding clearance.
• Rotor Options:
  • Segmented Drum for contaminated demolition debris, railroad ties, and MSW.
  • Forged Drum for forestry debris and mulch.
  • 2-Pocket Chipper for producing fuel chips from stem wood.
  • 4-Pocket Chipper for producing short chips suitable for pelletizing or pulverized fuel.
• Split Hog Box:

The grinding chamber rises, allowing full access to the rotor and hog box internals for ease of maintenance. The service area has been expanded to provide an open, safe, and ergonomic work environment for service techs.

• Metal Detection System (MDS):
  The rotor is monitored by an adjustable electronic sensor to
  alert the control system when tramp metal is detected. The MDS will
  automatically lower the engine RPM, raise the top feed roller and
  reverse the infeed to allow the operator to find the tramp metal.
